We are ordinary people on the journey of becoming more like Jesus together.

At Winchester Vineyard Church we felt very strongly that coming out of the pandemic, one of our key priorities should be the needs of young people, both in the church and further afield.  Almost immediately after we said this publicly in April 2021, we were forwarded an email completely out of the blue offering to give us a fully equipped youth bus that we have called ‘Eden’.  It’s already fitted out with ipads, computers, games consoles, funky lights and a sound system - a brilliant mobile hang out space for young people.

And so our Vineyard Bus Project began!

More recently in September 2023 we took ownership of ‘Grace’, a newer converted double decker youth bus which is better suited to group discussion work and one-to-one conversations.

The vision for the bus project is to go to the young people of Winchester where they are, rather than expect them to come to us! The buses can travel to local schools, churches and community centres, as well as play parks and local neighbourhood hang outs and are great at attracting a crowd of enthusiastic young people, many who are often bored, lonely and have little to do. The buses and our teams of volunteers provide Somewhere To Go, Something To Do, and Someone To Talk To.

Financial support helps with running costs, remodelling and repairs. You can provide a one off or regular gift HERE (add link to bus giving page).

We are also looking for volunteer bus drivers. If you are over 25 and have a full standard driving licence and have some daytime or evening availability you can help us get the bus to the right place at the right time! All training given. For more information contact hello@winchestervineyard.org
