Winchester Vineyard

Thousands of Alpha courses are now running in many countries. Hundreds more register each month as church leaders from all denominations report the astonishing impact the course has on non-churchgoers and existing Christians in their areas and it's spreading fast to many secular locations - prisons, businesses and schools

Developed at Holy Trinity, Brompton over the last twenty years, Alpha is a weekly, practical introduction to the Christian faith. It's aimed especially at people who don't go to church. At Winchester Vineyard we run Alpha Courses throughout the year and often have specialist groups for those in business, those available during the daytime and those available during the evenings ~ do contact our staff to find out more! 01962 863217 or admin@winvin.org.uk

The course comes from the book "Questions of Life". Most are evening courses where there is a light meal followed by a talk on a subject central to the Christian faith. Then participants break into groups to discuss the talk in an environment where each person should feel free to ask or express whatever they wish. A team of around three or four 'leaders' or 'helpers' from the host church are attached to each group. There also can be an away-day or weekend during which the subject of the Holy Spirit is addressed. At Alpha no question is too simple or too provocative!

Everyone is invited to join us on a journey of discovery. Come and ask any questions, talk about real problems, build friendships and enjoy eating together. There is no charge for the Alpha course, although a small contribution for the meals is sometimes appreciated
